-State Rep. Frank Farina, D-Lackawanna/Wayne, said he wanted to remind his constituents that he continues to represent the district that voted for him in November.
Earlier this week, the state Supreme Court gave a final OK to new district boundaries, which will move the 115th District to the east.
The redistricting, along with congressional reapportionment, is a requirement after every U.S. Census.
The new districts will not take effect until after the November 2014 elections.
“You will be hearing more about the district changes in the next weeks and months, but the most important thing to remember for now is that the new boundaries are will not change until after the next House elections, at the end of 2014,” Farina said. “I will continue to be your representative for the 115th District in Harrisburg, and my office is and will remain ready to assist you in any and all state or other governmental issues you may be dealing with.”
For more information on the redistricting, or help with any government issues, call Farina's office at 876-1111. His office at 423 Main St., Eynon, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
