HONESDALE — The Greater Honesdale Partnership and GHP members The Wayne Independent and VFW Post 531 Ladies Auxiliary, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, will be sponsoring a community blood drive on May 14.
It will be at the Grace Episcopal Parish Hall, 827 Church Street in Honesdale, from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Blood is in short supply in our area and the goal for this drive is 160 units of much-needed blood.
The GHP strongly urges everyone, especially the greater Honesdale area businessmen and women, to come out and donate blood, because you care.
If you would like to make an appointment to give (time saving), contact the Red Cross at 1-800-GIVE LIFE. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Give the most precious gift of all: the gift of life. You never know when you or someone you love will need blood.
Anyone 17 years old or older (or 16 years of age with a signed parental consent form) who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good health is being asked to give blood at the GHP/
Wayne Independent Blood Drive. Bring photo I.D.
