— Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Callicoon Theater present first-time director Dustin Hoffman's, Quartet starting Friday, April 5.
At a home for retired musicians, the annual concert to celebrate Verdi's birthday is disrupted by the arrival of Jean, an eternal diva and the former wife of one of the residents.
Starring Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly and Pauline Collins, Quartet is rated PG-13 and will screen Friday, April 5 – Thursday, April 11, nightly at 7:30 p.m., with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Callicoon Theater, 30 Upper Main Street, Callicoon.
Co-sponsored by Callicoon Theater and Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA), CineArt brings independent and foreign films to Sullivan County audiences.
A percentage of admissions and $1 per person helps to support DVAA programs in the visual, performing, literary and media arts. Admission is $10 ($8 on Monday night and matinees). Children under 12 are always $7.
