-On Saturday the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce held its annual event at Ehrhardt's Waterfront Resort.
This year's event was the "Luck of the Irish" Casino & Game Show Night, which included poker, Texas hold'em, black jack, roulette and five card stud, as well as a silent auction, 50/50, a tricks and trivia and live entertainment.
Dealers for the casino games were Mike Clifford, Jim LaBar, Joanne Hohman, John DeYoung, Darryl Gustin, Jen VanStone, Eugene Evarts, Rob Orr, Ron Glosenger and Bob Skibinski.
The casino and silent auction opened at 6:30 p.m. as well as the buffet, which ran until 8 p.m. Tonylou Productions then hosted a Tricks and Trivia competition, which turned into a battle of the sexes.
One male and one female participant answered questions about different categories, like movies and TV, casinos and gambling, and local history, including trivia about Wayne County and area businesses. They also did physical challenges, including ring the cactus, shooting a Nerf gun at a target, and more.
When all was said and done, the women won the battle of the sexes.
Bold Gold Media supplied music throughout the evening. There was also live entertainment from Dani-Elle, a 17-year-old singer from Jermyn.

The winners of the silent auction were Gail Tucker, Joanne Hohman, Diane Musser, Todd Beatty, Rob and Rita Lowry, Greg Guerrieri, Richelle and Todd Stephens, Jim and Donna LaBar, Cathy Salak, Pat Resti, Sandy Vollrath, Debbie Temperton, Mary Beth Roberts, Patti Collins and Sue Graziadio.
The 50/50 was worth $300 and the winner was Mark Graziadio, Vice President of Honesdale National Bank. He donated part of his winnings back to the chamber.
There were five prizes for casino winners. Fifth place was a stay at the Leisure King Room at the Comfort Inn and a gift certificate to Kay's Italian Restaurant. Fourth place was a one night, midweek stay at the Settlers Inn. Third place was a two day/one night stay at Cove Haven Resort. Second place was a one night stay for two at Woodloch Pines. First place was a $500 gift certificate to any Chamber Member.
