— Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) has named the winners of its annual American Graphic Design Awards and Discover Pike PA won in the Editorial Design category. The guide is published by Bailey Design & Advertising.
“It's really kind of cool, said Deb Bailey, owner of Bailey Design & Advertising, to receive this graphic design award for the design and layout of the 2011-2012 companion guide and map. In today's competitive marketplace, it's a challenge to be heard, seen, and remembered. Our goal is to continue to create & publish a visually appealing publication that showcases all Pike County has to offer. It is a pleasure to work hand in hand with Pike County Hotel Tax Board member, Bridget Gelderman, and all of the Hotel Tax Board members, as well as the Pike County Commissioners.”
The American Graphic Design Awards is the original and the flagship competition, and is open to everyone in the graphic arts community – graphic design firms, advertising agencies, in-house corporate and institutional designers, publishers and other media. It honors outstanding work of all kinds and across all media: print and collateral, corporate and annual reports, advertising and sales promotion, branding and logos, internet and interactive design, packaging and p-o-p, broadcast and motion graphics.
“Discover Pike PA is honored to be included in the American Graphic Design Awards, the Visitors Guide is an asset to travelers to the county and we are proud to have it recognized in the design community. Bailey Design and Advertising has been very effective in creating a visually captivating yet very user friendly guide. ” says Bridget Gelderman, Hotel Tax Board Member.
For the fifth straight year, GDUSA's American Graphic Design Awards saw more than 9,000+ entries; of these, a highly selective 15 percent are recognized with an Awards Certificate of Excellence. The competition culminates in a Graphic Design USA Awards Annual in print, on the web, and on a new iPad App — seen by an estimated 100,000 colleagues and clients.
