Portman has voted against same-sex marraige several times in the past, and also supported the Defense of Marriage Act and a bill banning same-sex couples from adopting in Washington.

The Obama administration has decided to add 14 interceptors to the West Coast's missile defense system, according to The Associated Press. Defense officials say the additions are in response to threats of nuclear attacks from North Korea, though experts still believe the country is incapable of carrying out such an attack.
