- State Rep. Frank Farina, D-Lackawanna/Wayne, announced that constituents will be able to receive tax filing help in his constituent service office from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first and third Mondays in March and April.
Volunteers will be on hand in his office — 423 Main St., Eynon — to offer advice, instructions and help in completing and filing basic income tax forms.
“This year’s tax forms were distributed later than usual,” Farina said. “Please use my volunteers, as they are here to help you understand the tax forms. With the last-minute changes to tax laws passed by Congress, this year may be more confusing than usual.”
In addition to March 4, the tax help dates in Farina’s office will be March 18, April 1 and April 15.
While walk-ins are welcome, Farina would prefer those looking for assistance to make an appointment by calling his office at (570) 876-1111.
