  • Another person has been sentenced in connection with a 2012 hate crime incident at at Wayne County Summer camp.
    According to a release from the Wayne County Courthouse, Mark Trail, 22 of Honesdale, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 36 months for one count of Ethnic Intimidation, graded as a Felony of the 2nd Degree, three counts of Terroristic Threats, graded as a Misdemeanors of the 1st Degree and one count of
    Criminal Conspiracy-Simple Assault, graded as a Misdemeanor of the 2nd Degree. Trail pleaded guilty to those charges in December 2012.
    Trail was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay a fine in the amount of $2,250, pay restitution in the amount of $275, refrain from entering Camp Bonim, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, attend and complete an anger management program, obtain full time employment upon being released from prison, and submit to a DNA sample and pay $250 for the cost of the sample.
    The sentence stems from an incident that took place between July 13-16, 2012 in Clinton and Canaan townships.
    Trail, and co-defendants Tyler Cole Spencer, 18, of Linden, Tenn. and Cassandra Robertson, 18, of Honesdale, "entered Camp Bonim and made several threats and racial comments."
    While at the camp, they drove through the camp at high rates of speed in a large pickup truck, owned by Spencer, which damaged fields and open areas. They also chased campers and councilors with the vehicle and shot at them with a paintball gun.
    Trail, according to an affidavit from Pennsylvania State Police, added that the group was also responsible for damage done to the R.D. Wilson Elementary School in Waymart.
    The co-defendants are still facing charges.

    Page 2 of 6 - Alan Linden, 47 of Honesdale, was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 15 months nor more than 60 months for one count of Delivery of Controlled Substance, an ungraded Felony. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, and submit to the drawing of a DNA sample and pay $250 for the cost of the sample. The incident occurred between May 23, 2011, and July 7, 2011, in Dreher Township when Linden delivered Heroin to a confidential informant.
    Monica Hinds, 31 of Waymart, was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one Count of Simple Assault, graded as a Misdemeanor of the 2nd Degree. She was also ordered to pay all Court costs, continue with mental health treatment,
    attend and complete an anger management program and pay $500.00 for the cost of the public defender. The incident occurred on September 4,2012, in Canaan Township when Hinds attempted to hit a male victim with a vehicle.
    Joseph Mahn, age 29 of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI/SCH 1 Controlled Substance, an ungraded Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program, and perform 50 hours of community service. The incident occurred on May 19, 2012, in Cherry Ridge Township when Pennsylvania State Police observed Mahn cross the double yellow lines. At that time, Mahn was under the influence of Marijuana.
    Julie Gardas, 39 of Honesdale, PA was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance, an ungraded misdemeanor. She was also ordered to pay all Court costs, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, continue with mental health treatment and attend a minimum of 2 AA meetings per week. The incident occurred on July 6, 2012, in Honesdale Borough when Gardas was discovered to be in possession of controlled substances for which she did not possess a valid prescription.
    Allen Cangas, age 27 of Newfoundland, PA was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 4 months nor more than 23 1/2 months for one count of Theft By Deception-False Impression, graded as a Felony of the 3rd Degree. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay a fine in the amount of $500.00, pay restitution in the amount of $1,614.18, perform 100 hours of community service and submit to the drawing of a DNA sample and pay $250.00 for the cost of the sample. The incident occurred on June 5, 2012, in Lake Township when Cangas sold a bulldozer in which he did not own.
    Page 3 of 6 - Derek Criscuola, 22 of Lake Ariel, PA was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Sell/Furnish Liquor, Malt, Brewed Beverage to Minors, graded as a Misdemeanor of the 3rd Degree. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, perform 50 hours of community service, obtain full time employment, and pay $500.00 for the cost of the public defender. The incident occurred on March 16, 2012, in Lake Township when Criscuola provided alcohol to a minor female.
    Sean McDonough, 32 of Honesdale, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 72 hours nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI-Highest Rate, an ungraded Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, undergo a drug and alcohol
    evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program, and obtain full time employment upon being released from prison. The incident occurred on August 11, 2012, in Honesdale Borough when Pennsylvania State Police observed McDonough speeding. His BAC was .231%.
    Jacob Knash, 23 of Honesdale, was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 5 years for one count of DUI-Highest Rate, graded as a Misdemeanor of the 1st Degree. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment and obtain full time employment upon being released from prison. The incident occurred on March 25, 2012, in Canaan Township when Pennsylvania State Police observed a vehicle parked partially in the roadway. His BAC was .228%.
    John Kuzmech, 44 of Patchogue, NY was sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 30 days nor more than 6 months for one count of DUI, an ungraded Misdemeanor. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program, and perform 40 hours of community service. The incident occurred on July 15, 2012, in Hawley Borough when Hawley Borough Police observed Kuzmech speeding. His BAC was .126%.
    Page 4 of 6 - Denise Gaeta, 32 of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to pay all Court costs for three counts of Bad Checks, graded as a Summary offenses. She was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $458.34, and a fine in the amount of $250.00. The incidents occurred between November 6 ,2011, and November 7, 2011, in Honesdale Borough when Gaeta passed bad checks to local businesses.
    CarmineGiannone, 43 of Honesdale, PA was placed on the Accelerated
    Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to DUI. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, perform 40 hours of community service and have his operator's license suspended for a period of 60 days. The incident occurred on July 22, 2012, in Salem Township when Pennsylvania State Police were called to investigate the report of an erratic driver. At that time Giannone was under the influence of several controlled substances for which he did not have a valid prescription.
    Jacob Eldred, 27 of Honesdale, was placed on the Accelerated
    Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 18 months related to DUI. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, pay restitution in the amount of $12,796.51, perform 40 hours of community service, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program and have his operator's license suspended for a period of 60 days. The incident occurred on September 27, 2012, in Honesdale Borough when Honesdale Borough Police were called to investigate the report of a one vehicle crash. His BAC was .231%.
    Joshua Fasceski, 31 of Honesdale, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to DUI. He was also ordered to pay all Court costs, perform 40 hours of community service, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program and have his operator's license suspended for a period of 60 days. The incident occurred on August 8, 2012, in Dyberry Township when Pennsylvania State Police observed Fasceski stopped in a roadway. His BAC was .169.
    Jeanne McGinnis, 51 of Honesdale, PA was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to DUI. She was ordered to pay all Court costs, perform 40 hours of community service, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program and have her operator's license suspended for a period of 60 days. The incident occurred on October 12, 2012, in
    Honesdale Borough when Honesdale Borough Police were called to investigate the report of an erratic driver. Her BAC was .286%.

The incident occurred on September 30, 2012, in
    Waymart Borough when Waymart Borough Police were called to investigate the report of an intoxicated driver.
    Justin Laubach, 25 of Honesdale, was placed on the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to DUI. He was ordered to pay all Court costs, perform 40 hours of community service, attend and complete an alcohol highway safety program and have his operator's license suspended for a period of 60 days. The incident occurred on September 8, 2012, in
    Dyberry Township when Pennsylvania State Police were called to investigate the report of a one vehicle crash. His BAC was .216%.
    Gerald Compton, 57 of Honesdale, pled guilty to one count of DUI, an ungraded Misdemeanor. The incident occurred on September 29, 2012, in Clinton Township when Pennsylvania State Police observed Compton travel over the white fog line. His BAC was .140%. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 11, 2013.
    Daniel Shakkour, 36 of Hawley, pled guilty to one count of DUI-Cont Sub- Impaired Ability/1st Offense, graded as a Misdemeanor of the 1st Degree. The incident
    occurred on May 5, 2012, in Hawley Borough when Hawley Borough Police observed Shakkour cross the double yellow lines. At that time Shakkour was under the influence of several controlled substances. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 11, 2013.
    Lucia Dobromirescu, age 28 of Hancock, NY pled guilty, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, an ungraded Misdemeanor and one count of Possession of
    Controlled Substance, also an ungraded Misdemeanor. The incident occurred on
    November 5, 2012, in Waymart Borough when Dombromirescu was found to be in possession of a pipe. She is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25, 2013.
    John McCarty, 41 of Lake Ariel, pled guilty to one of DUI-Highest Rate, graded as a Misdemeanor of the 1st Degree and one count of Accidents Involving Damage to Unattended Veh/Property, graded as a Summary offense. The incident occurred on September 4, 2012, in Salem Township when Pennsylvania State Police were called to investigate the report of a two vehicle crash. His BAC was .163%. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25, 2013.
    Page 6 of 6 - Jessica Guglielmino, age 30 of Lackawaxen, pled guilty to one count of Retail Theft-Take Merchandise, graded as a Misdemeanor of the 1st Degree and one count of Disorderly Conduct-Hazardous Offensive Condition, graded as a Summary offense. The incident occurred on September 21, 2012, in Texas Township when Guglielmino stole items from a local department store. She is scheduled to be sentenced on April 4, 2013.
