BETHEL, NY – Do you have a love for the arts, or an interest in music or history? Have you experienced the impact one positive interaction can have on your day? Are you passionate about supporting your community? If so, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts has an opportunity for you! Eager and diverse individuals are requested to join their team of volunteers for the 2013 season and beyond.
Orientations for new volunteers will take place March 9th, March 21st, and June 8th at the Museum at Bethel Woods at 9am. These orientations offer prospective volunteers an overview of this non-profit organization and the role of volunteers within it prior to their commitment to serving.
New volunteers are asked to complete an online application, which can be found at www.bethelwoodscenter.org/volunteers. Additional details about volunteering can be acquired by calling the Volunteer Services office or by attending the upcoming Volunteer Open House.
A Volunteer Open House will take place on April 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Museum at Bethel Woods. Occurring during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, this event enables current Bethel Woods Volunteers to share their passion with friends, family, and members of the public interested in volunteering at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. If interested in attending the Open House, please call the Volunteer Services office at 845.295.2626 or email email@example.com.
"Our volunteers are some of the most knowledgeable and dedicated people I have had the good fortune to meet. It astounds me that so many people love volunteering for the sheer thrill of being at Bethel Woods – and that even more are asking how they can join!" elaborates Lillian Carbonara, Coordinator of Volunteer Services. "A volunteer program is about give and take; we learn something everyday being here, whether it's about history, the arts or simply about people while supporting our neighbors, youth and community."
In 2013, nearly 14,000 hours were contributed by volunteers to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. The team of nearly 200 volunteers greatly influences the venue's sterling reputation for guest services as they are the personnel that most regularly interact with guests and are often highly visible to all patrons.
Bethel Woods' commitment to supporting the community and the arts while offering top notch entertainment, cultural and educational programming experiences makes it a natural magnet for volunteerism.
Volunteering at Bethel Woods provides access to an array of experiences and interpersonal connections that can enhance one's personal, academic and professional life.
