Residents of northeastern PA have an unprecedented opportunity to participate in a historic study that has the potential to change the face of cancer for future generations.
Men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 who have never been diagnosed with cancer are needed to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3).
The opportunity for local residents to register to participate in CPS-3 is being made possible in partnership with host site Woodloch Resort in Hawley. This important study is designed to help researchers better understand the lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer.
The registration site is live now, so individuals can go on line and register to be part of this study by logging onto www.nepacps3.org.
Enrollment at Woodloch Resort is slated for Tuesday, March 5 from 2 to 8 p.m. In addition, there are a variety of locations in northeastern PA to choose from.
For more information or to learn how to become involved with CPS-3, call the American Cancer Society hub office at (570) 562-9749 and ask to speak to a health initiatives representative.
