     —Meagan Gumble of Honesdale was recently named to the President's List at The State University of New York at Potsdam.
    Gumble, whose major is Women's and Gender Studies, was among nearly 900 SUNY Potsdam students who were honored for academic excellence.
    President Dr. John F. Schwaller honored a total of 884 SUNY Potsdam students for earning the highest marks in the Fall 2012 semester.
    To achieve the honor of being on the President's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
    SUNY Potsdam has a strong focus on academics, with its long history of excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.
