— Reunion Sunday is planned for the Aldenville Baptist Church on Feb. 10 at 9:30 a.m.
This reunion of family, friends and former members is related to the current construction of an addition to the Aldenville church which began last fall and is moving toward completion this spring with a dedication service planned for Pentecost on Sunday, May 19.
Building Fund campaign chairman Dan Droppa said, "If you or any of your family has ever been touched by the Aldenville Baptist or Aldenville Methodist Church we invite you to our Reunion Sunday."
If you cannot be present Droppa encourages people "to write a note about your experiences, whether you were touched by a worship service, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, a wedding, a funeral or ministries of caring."
The building addition will enable the Aldenville Baptist Church, which includes the former buildings and former members of the Aldenville Methodist Church that closed in 1972, to grow the ministries they are celebrating Feb. 10.
Droppa noted that the building addition will double the size of the fellowship hall, add seating and a new chancel in the sanctuary, include two new handicap access restrooms, a new meeting room and rear entrance area and new energy efficient heating system.
Droppa concludes, "By sending a note of memories or participating in the Reunion Sunday it will be a great encouragement to all to see and hear the blessings this church has provided in the past and the hope and opportunities of the future.
"As we finish the building addition the campaign committee is working hard to secure final funds and asks for prayers for all who have been involved in this project and all who will be touched by ministry in the future."
