Hockey season is finally underway even though it's now condensed, baseball will start spring training soon and there's only one more game left until the end of football season.
I have to say I'm really glad the season is just about over. I'm hoping this new coach of ours will help give my Eagles a bigger fighting chance for next season, as well as other changes that will be made. Of course I understand there's a lot that needs to change, but hopefully next season will be better than last and will continue to move forward from there.
As for the Super Bowl this year, my reaction is "hey a football game will be on." Obviously my team isn't in it so that's one factor, but sometimes I can still find a team I'd rather win. This year is different. I could care less who wins.
I'm more happy that my main enemy teams like the Giants, Cowgirls-oops I mean Cowboys-and Steelers aren't in it. I'm also very thrilled to see the Patriots choked and didn't make it in either.
When I was in college my friends and I would have our own little Super Bowl parties. Some don't even like sports but they would watch and hang out anyway. It was always a ton of fun, except for 2011 when the Steelers lost and two of my guy friends actually cried because of it.
Between you and me though, it was sort of entertaining that they got that upset over one game, even when the Steelers have the most rings.
I still watch the Super Bowl and have some kind of get together and I'll continue that tradition next week. But when it comes to who I'd rather see win this year, my answer is simple.
Go whoever is leading.
