WILLIAMSPORT — U.S. Representative Tom Marino (R-PA) has announced the names of 26 young men and women of Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District who will be nominated to four U.S. service academies for the coming academic year.
"These students represent some of the 10th District's best and brightest and I am honored to nominate them for acceptance to our nation's service academies. I know these future leaders will proudly represent and serve our district, our Commonwealth, and our country in the years to come," said Marino.
Marino's 10th District Service Academy Nomination Board, composed of veterans, academy graduates, business owners and community leaders, met with applicants during a day-long review session last month.
Candidates were asked to provide extensive information including academic records, community service involvement, and long-term goals and aspirations.
"My Academy Nomination Board did an excellent job guiding students through the application and interview process, and I am grateful for all of their dedication and hard work," added Marino.
