— The Pocono District of Penn State Extension will host a series of five Land Use webinars.
The first will be held on Jan. 16, from noon to 1 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m..
The topic is Planning in PA: Land Use, Communities & Beyond. Planners have a wide array of issues they can address and tools from which to work.
This session will provide an overview of the planning powers granted by the PA Municipalities Planning Code.
It will also provide real world descriptions and examples of how and by what means these powers can be applied at the local municipal and county levels.
One such example will include the preparation and implementation of the Union County Comprehensive Plan, which was awarded the 2010 APA-PA Chapter Daniel Burnham Award.
The cost is $25 for the series of five webinars. For more information or to register, visit http://agsci.psu.edu/land-use-webinar
