The Honesdale Lions Club held its 44th Annual Bonanza Banquet at the Inn at Woodloch Pines on Saturday.
Boy Scout Troop 1 of Honesdale did the presentation of colors and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Leah Schweighofer, a junior at Honesdale High School, sang the National Anthem.
After Lion Paul Meagher gave the invocation and dinner was served, Lion Club President, Dan Card, recognized Lions Peter Bochnovich and Ed Kasper for their years of service to the organization.
Following the recognitions, Card presented checks to nine charitable organizations, including Communities that Care, the Victims Intervention Program, the YMCA, Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale Fire Department, Habitat for Humanity, Wayne County Public Library, Wayne/Pike Adult Literacy, and First Book of Wayne/Pike.
After all was said and done, guests were invited to enjoy some dancing, with music by Fancy Dancer.
