  • — The Wayne Pike Chapter of the American Red Cross conducted a very special evening recently at Woodloch Springs to pay tribute to the area's first responders in recognition of their selflessness and courage.
The Patriots Day Dinner honored a few select Emergency Management Agencies (Tafton Fire Company, Ledgedale Fire Company, Wayne Ambulance, Hemlock Farms Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Wayne County 911 Center, Pike County 911 Center and outstanding volunteer George Piercy of the Seelyville Fire Company) for their outstanding dedication and commitment in responding to local emergency incidents.
They showed support for those who selflessly protect each and every one of us on a daily basis.
Mission Statement: The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
