Join Penn State Extension's West End Community Change Club for an insightful workshop aimed at ideas for increasing the consumption of fruits & vegetables in our meals. Bill Scepansky of Smart Partner will demonstrate easy ways to make simple changes to your diet that will have your family eating healthier in no time. Learn to shop by seasons and take advantage of local bounty.
You will sample and take home recipes for tasty preparations that will be prepared right in front of you. This is an evening not to miss for anyone involved in food preparation and serious about making healthy changes to your household, for the good of your entire family.
The workshop will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 6:30 until 8:30 pm at the Western Pocono Community Library, Pilgrim Way, Brodheadsville.
Pre-registration is required with a $5 per person fee by October 29, 2012. The fee is non-refundable and will include the presentation, food samples, and take home recipes. Healthier Picks workshop is partially funded by the Monroe County Extension Family Living Endowment.
