The Honesdale Area Jaycees will host their annual Halloween Parade in Honesdale on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. Rain date is Oct. 26.
- The Honesdale Area Jaycees will host their annual Halloween Parade in Honesdale on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. Rain date is Oct. 26. Participants should line up at the former DSFI parking lot starting at 6 p.m. The parade will travel north on Main Street to 10th Street and proceed across Church Street and around Central Park. Participants and spectators are invited to Central Park for apple cider and doughnuts after the parade.
For the safety of all spectators and participants, the Honesdale Area Jaycees, in cooperation with the Honesdale Borough Council, are requiring that all participants pre-register for the parade.
Registration forms are available at our website, www.honesdalejaycees.org or can be requested at 253-1516 or 253-1190. Participants must check in with the Honesdale Jaycee parade staff at the staging area. In addition, all vehicles or floats must have at least two individuals/safety walkers n each side of the vehicle. The safety walkers' responsibility is to keep the spectators from running into the road or into your vehicle/float.
Candy may only be handed out to the spectators on the sidewalks. All spectators are required to watch from the sidewalks behind the tape and pay attention to Honesdale Jaycee parade staff stationed along the parade rout.
The Honesdale Area Jaycees would like to thank the Honesdale Borough Council, Honesdale Police Department, Honesdale Fire Department and Honesdale Fire Police for their assistance prior to and during the parade.
