  • — A Honesdale man already charged in connection with dealing heroin is facing even more charges.
John J. Henneforth, Jr., 33, was back in court on Monday facing charges related to dealing in Honesdale Borough and Dyberry Township.
Henneforth was arrested on Aug. 26 where a large amount of heroin was seized from his home at 215 Terrace Street, Apt. 2.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, more than 400 bags of heroin were confiscated along with over 20 bags of cocaine.
At that time, he was charged with six felonies and two misdemeanors related to the sale of heroin and cocaine in Texas and Cherry Ridge townships.
District Attorney Janine Edwards said then there would likely be additional charges field and that happened on Monday.
She called them a "continuation of the investigation" from the Aug. 28 arrest.
In these complaints, on two occasions in August of this year, it is alleged Henneforth sold heroin in Dyberry Township at the Wayne County Fairgrounds to a confidential informant working with undercover law enforcement officers.
The new information also alleges Henneforth sold heroin and cocaine to a confidential informant working in Honesdale Borough on two occasions.
He was arraigned Monday before Magisterial District Justice Ted Mikulak on felony charges relating to delivery of a controlled substance.
Mikulak set bond at $250,000 for the charges filed Monday. That is on top of the $250,000 bond which was set on the original charges.
He will appear on the new charges at 9 a.m. Sept. 26 in central court at the Wayne County Courthouse.
Henneforth has been in the Wayne County Correctional Facility since he was arrested on Aug. 28.
Also during the raid, police seized two motorcycles, a Nissan Pathfinder, two flat screen televisions and numerous items used to conceal drugs in vehicles.
Edwards called Henneforth a "major drug dealer" in Wayne County.
