— The public is invited to hear David L. Hoff, chief executive officer of Wayne Memorial Hospital, address the hospital auxiliary at a dinner meeting Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. at The Hotel Wayne, corner of Main and Park streets, Honesdale. Reservations are required.
Hoff will provide an update on how the hospital is meeting the healthcare needs of the growing Wayne and Pike counties region.
A Michigan native, Hoff holds MBA and MHA degrees and has more than 24 years of senior management experience in healthcare.
Since becoming CEO of Wayne Memorial in 2001, he has overseen construction of a new ER and other major changes at Wayne County's only hospital.
In addition, he helped to launch Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers, a group of primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics, dental and behavioral health doctors' offices that offer medical care to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers or C-H-C now employs more than 125 people and will expand dental and behavioral health services into Pike County in the next two years.
Hoff and his wife Jennifer have two college-age children.
The dinner costs $22 (includes tax and tip) and reservations must be made by Sept. 17. Call Suzanne Clark at 685-5102 for reservations or more information. Auxiliary members and prospective members are welcome.
The buffet-style menu includes seasonal fish grilled and stuffed with pineapple and bell peppers, served with tropical fruit salsa and buerre blanc, New York strip steak served with sautéed mushrooms and onions, Caesar salad, roasted red potatoes with fresh thyme, fresh seasonal vegetables, penne pasta tossed with vegetables and sauce, dessert, coffee and iced tea.
