Western Wayne kicked-off its 2012 Lackawanna Football Conference campaign Saturday afternoon with a dominating performance at Susquehanna.

SUSQUEHANNA — Western Wayne is poised to have a breakout season in Lackawanna Football Conference action.

The Wildcats traveled to Susquehanna for a rare Saturday afternoon game and laid an old-fashioned whoopin' on a young Sabers squad.

Robbie Siclari and Jayson Figueroa led the way offensively as Western Wayne shrugged off blistering heat and oppressive humidity en route to a 50-0 Week One wipeout.

Siclari, who is coming off a season lost to ACL surgery, sprinted to four touchdowns and piled up 101 yards on just eight carries. Figueroa was every bit as impressive, finding the Sabers endzone three times and closing out the contest with 113 yards on five attempts

Next up for Coach Allen "Butch" Keller's lads is Friday night's home opener against Scranton Prep. That contest is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start on the turf at Sharkey Rosetti Memorial Stadium.
