  • Ravenhaus Peaking at the Perfect Time in Softball Action

  • With just a week to go in the 2012 summer season, Ravenhaus appears to be pushing for a higher playoff seed. The Varden ladies hammered out a 15-1 win over Lauersen's Monday, climbing within a game of .500 at 5-6.

  • As the regular season winds down, it appears that Ravenhaus may be preparing to make some serious noise in the Wayne County Women’s Softball tournament.
    With just three games left on the slate, the Varden ladies have climbed within a win of .500 (5-6).
    Ravenhaus claimed its latest victim Monday night in Bingham Park, rampaging to a 15-1 victory over Lauersen’s Ladybugs.
    Next on the agenda is a twinbill make-up date with 590 Service. Next Monday evening Ravenhaus will play a single game against The Crossroads.
    Double Duty
    Jess Gregorski went to the circle as Ravenhaus starter and worked five frames en route to the decision.
    Jamie Rickard also toed the rubber for the winners and fanned two batters.
    Offensively, Shanna Solomon and Allison Glossenger ignited a high octane attack. Solomon enjoyed a perfect 5-for-5 game, while Glossenger went 4-for-5 with an RBI?triple and three runs scored.
    Gregorski also dazzled at the dish ripping hits of her own. She was aided &?abetted by Jamie Schmalzle and Bern Salak, each of whom went 4-for-5.
    Tiffany Hoffman pitched for the Ladybugs and turned in a complete game effort. The veteran righty worked seven innings and fanned three. Hoffman helped her own cause by lashing an RBI?double in the bottom of the first.
    Amber Anderson paced the Lauersen’s offensive assault with three hits in four plate appearances.
