The Big Money $howdown League and officials are hard at work preparing for another exciting campaign for the 2012-2013 season.
This league will have a prize fund in excess of $20,000 and will look to pay first place more than $1,000 per person...assuming the league reaches its 12 team capacity. It is proudly sponsored by Strike It Rich Pro Shop, which is under the management of Michael Markis, a regionally-touring professional, but is actively seeking more sponsorship involvement.
Back in April, Markis opined during an interview with TWI Sports that not only does he want to see the league continue to grow in membership, but also sponsorship.
"I am going to try to get more sponsorship and outside involvement,”?he said.
The league will have its organizational meeting on August 14th at 6:30 p.m. at Paupack Lanes.
Deposits for returning teams are being taken effective immediately and the meeting will be the last opportunity for returning teams to assure their spot. After that date, deposits will be taken from anyone, returning or new, to help and assure a full league.
This league is unique, as it offers a rare combination of serious competition and lax entertainment. It is a source of enjoyment for serious and casual bowlers, and it is a great way to make the work week a little more bearable with an enjoyable night with friends and colleagues.
Interested parties are encouraged to attend the Aug. 14 meeting and should feel free to ask questions.
