On the Field
BGM?Fastener came into this contest as the odds-on favorite thanks to a stellar regular season run.
The Chicks finished first in the standings and earned the #1 play off seed. Coach Judy Goyette’s team then punched its ticket to the championship game with a 6-4 win over a scrappy Express squad.
“This was really an awesome group of girls,” Coach Goyette said. “They pulled together so well as a team and improved so much from the start of the season.”
On this particular day, however, the Angels dominated right from the top of the first inning. Mane Creations rolled in to the title tilt fresh off a 15-3 thrashing of the Marlins in the semis.
