The National Weather Service (NWS) in Binghamton, N.Y., issued a winter storm watch Monday for Wayne and Pike counties, calling for snow and freezing rain over the next two days.

The NWS is calling for three to six inches of snow, beginning around midnight Monday, with significant ice accumulations Tuesday night into Wednesday.

The NWS says travel will be difficult and the icy conditions could bring down tree limbs and cause power outages.

Temperatures will be in the mid-20s Tuesday and around 30 degrees Wednesday.
