All young people, all old people, and those still in between are
invited to join in a poetry free-for-all at the Philip Hone Gallery in
Honesdale PA on Thursday, February 10 at 6:30 PM. No experience is necessary
- just bring your imagination.

Mort Malkin, a formally trained and published poet will infuse the
basic principles of poetry composing as the group creates the words and
lines of an original poem. During the session, a sampling of strong first
lines, transition lines, and unexpected last lines will be presented as
examples from the work of Emily Dickinson, EE Cummings, Marianne Moore, and
Dylan Thomas. The participants will use rhythm, sound likeness, surprise,
and their individual sensibilities as the words pour forth. It will be a
truly cooperative effort as the ideas of the group move from snippets to
segments to a polished poem. All the participants will sign the final work.

The Philip Hone Gallery is located at 742 Main Street in Honesdale,
right in the center of town. Just look for the gathering excitement.
