ArtScene at Philip Hone
• Opening at the Philip Hone Gallery, 742 Main St. Honesdale, Thursday, May 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., Connections' Magazine ArtScene exhibit featuring work of Lucille Norella, Eileen Williams, Andrea Rimberg and Diana Lesser. Art work is on display through June 15.
Barryville Memorial Day Art Show
• The Barryville Memorial Day Art Show, organized by members of the Barryville Area Arts Association, will take place on Saturday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Spring House Commons in Barryville, NY. Featuring artworks by over 15  regional artists. The charming Spring House Commons offers views of the Delaware River, fresh brewed coffee, delicious baked goods and has a on site cafe for lunch. Late Honesdale artist Howard Becker

Callicoon Fine Arts
• Callicoon Fine Arts presents an exhibition that unites the sculptural and installation work of Francis Cape with photographic projects by Paul Kennedy. Display at Starlight
• The Inn At Starlight Lake will feature a show by three members of the Big D Arts and Crafts League: Dorlene Cuellar, Hancock, ink washes and pencil on clayboard; Linda Hare of Livingston Manor, New York, watercolors of gardens and woodlands; and Vicki Sunshine, unusual mobile creations. Abstract/Figurative Art
• Fifty years of Abstract Expressionism & Figurative Painting commemorates the work of Ioannis “Yanni” Glykokokolas of Honesdale, who with his wife Pauline founded the Wayne County Arts Alliance. Sculpture by Louise McCagg
• An exhibition of sculpture titled “Congregation: Postcards, Records, Torsos, Masks” by Louise McCagg opens at the Alliance Gallery in Narrowsburg on Friday, May 21, with a reception from 7–9 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through June 12. McCagg’s signature small heads—reduced from life-size portraits and cast in bronze, aluminum, wax, and paper—take on an impression of the otherworldly. Silk and Earth
• “Silk and Earth” is the title of an exhibit at Willow River Gallery, 118 Willow Ave. (Rt. 6), Honesdale. The exhibit features silk paintings by Marianna Hamilton Ross and pottery by Jim “Spence” Spencer. Marianna paints extraordinary works on large silk panels that electrify the senses. She is also a master drawer and has several beautiful figurative pastel drawings on Vellum, according to Gallery owners.
