Wargo Flooring & Ravenhaus are headed for an early season showdown in the Wayne County Men's Softball League. Wargo Flooring and Ravenhaus are both 5-0 thus far on the season. They will play Tuesday evening at Hamlin Elementary.


Although the season is just three weeks old, it appears as though local fans are in for an exciting summer of Wayne County Men’s Softball League action.

Heading into a full slate of games tonight, there are two undefeated teams tied atop the standings.

Ravenhaus and Wargo Flooring boast identical 5-0 records and will meet this evening at Hamlin Elementary.Ravenhaus’ latest victory came Thursday at the expense of the Gravity Inn. The final score was 7-4.

Wargo Flooring remained unbeaten by surviving a scare from Kestler’s, 6-5.
First pitch for this Week Four battle is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Win-For-Win
Wargo’s fought Kestler’s right down to the wire on Thursday night in Hawley’s Bingham Park.

Brian Bolduc delivered the gamewinner, a solo HR in the top of the 7th.
Bolduc went 2-for-3 on the evening.

Brian Warholic also contributed a key blow, a bases loaded triple in the top of the second.

Scotty Gross enjoyed a perfect 3-for-3 day at the dish, while Jim Fulton and Mike Hanor chipped in with two apiece.

Bolduc outdueled Gross on the mound, getting the  inducing the dangerous Jeff Barnes to pop up for the game’s final out.

Ravenhaus notched its 5th win of the young season with a 7-4 decision over Gravity Inn.

Richie Walker drew the starting nod and eventually earned the victory.

Walker received offensive support from Aaron Glossenger, who crushed a 3-run homer in the top of the first.

Hendershot and Lamberton contributed two hits each to the cause. Bob Bunting scored two runs.

Kenny Bednash was the starter and loser for Gravity. The veteran hurler al-lowed seven tallies in the first three frames, but did not surrender a run in the final four.

Kernoshak and Marcavage led the way offensively with two hits apiece.
Curtis hammered a solo homer in the home first.
