The Wayne County Coroner’s Office ruled the death of a convicted mobster to be homicide. The cause of death was multiple stab wounds.

The 43-year-old Joseph O’Kane was involved in a prison fight Sunday night with another inmate in a housing unit at the United States Prison in Canaan, a prison spokeswoman said.

The FBI is investigating.
