The Wayne County Dairy Princess Committee is looking for enthusiastic girls to promote the dairy industry for one year.


The Wayne County Dairy Princess Committee is looking for enthusiastic girls to promote the dairy industry for one year.
“A year in the life of dairy royalty is filled with excitement, lifelong friendships and
many educational experiences.” said Bonnie LaTourette.
The Princess and her court will appear at agricultural events, schools, stores, parades and many more promotional events. The qualifications for dairy princess include: be at least 16 years old by July 1,2010 and not reached her 24th birthday by December 31, 2010. Be single, never married, have had no children. Also be the daughter, granddaughter, niece, or sister of a dairy farmer, dairy farm manager or someone employed in a dairy related field, such as a dairy grain supplier, DHIA supervisor, milk inspector, veterinarian, etc. Or the ownership of at least two dairy animals.
The committee is also looking for girls, ages 10-16, interested in serving as a dairy maid, ambassador or a dairy miss. The junior representatives will assist the new dairy princess with many promotions.                                 
The Wayne County Dairy Princess Pageant is scheduled for June 13, 2010 at the Park Street Complex at 7:30 p.m. A buffet dinner will be catered by the Red School House Restaurant, followed by contestants speeches, skits, an auction and the crowning of the new 2010 Wayne County Dairy Princess.
