Casey Fuller, Josh Harrison and Matt Rosensweet have all earned #1 rankings at their respective weight divisions for Saturday's District Two Championships. Western Wayne's wrestling team will be looking to add yet another title to its already impressive 2009-'10 resume.

As expected, Western Wayne has earned the most #1 seeds for this weekend’s District Two wrestling tourney.

The Wildcats will have three individual wrestlers atop their respective divisions when the Class AA event begins tonight at Lake Lehman.

Casey Fuller leads the way with a #1 ranking in the 152-pound bracket.

Western Wayne’s junior is the area’s top wrestler. Fuller is 36-0 this season and the reigning Lackawanna League champion after defeating Abington Heights’ James Fruehan in the finals.

Josh Harrison and Matt Rosensweet also earned top seeds.

Harrison is a multi-sport star at Western Wayne who rushed for more than 1,000 yards this past fall. Still just a junior, Josh was 29-6 at 160 during the regular season. He went 3-1 with two pins in finishing third at Saturday’s league tournament.

Rosensweet has been a pleasant surprise for Coach Dante Terenzio’s squad this winter.

A sophomore 189-pounder, Matt won seven bouts last season and has added 16 more during the 2009-’10 campaign.

Kadiem Wheatle and Evan Decker should also make some noise at this year’s Class AA event.

Wheatle is a senior who rolls into districts boasting a stellar 32-5 record at 171. He earned a silver medal at the Lackawanna League tournament, losing only to DV’s Adam Manzoni in the final.

Decker heads off to Lake Lehman with a 23-12 mark. The Wildcats’ 103-pounder also won 21 bouts as a frosh.

Editor’s Note: Weather is impacting the schedule for districts. According to D-2 officials, Friday evening’s original start time has been moved to Saturday morning.
