Honesdale’s new central sewer plant is a third completed, in terms of the work the general contractor has to do. The $17.2 million project is expected to be complete by January 2010.
Consultant Ed Petroski, of Entech Engineering, reported to the Central Wayne Regional Authority (CWRA) board Monday night of the progress. A payment of $830,692.35 was approved for general contractor Howard Robson Inc.; this brings the total paid to just over $3.8 million. Their bid price was just over $13 million. Electrical and instrumentation work are under separate, smaller contracts.
The large SBR (Sequence Batch Reactor) tanks should be finished in March. Between them , a control building will be installed next.
