State Police Pike County are searching for a man that broke into a home-improvement business in Tafton earlier this month.
A white male, wearing a heavy brown jacket and brown pants unlawfully entered Gumble Brothers on November 8, then rummaged through several offices before escaping, state police Blooming Grove barracks reported.
On his way to breaking into the business, the man first attempted to disconnect the power which damaged the equipment.
After that effort failed, he tried to force open several rear-entry doors - causing more destruction - until he finally succeeded. Once inside, he rifled through several of the business’s offices in a short period of time, according to the Blooming Grove barracks. The crime occurred between 6:05 a.m. - 6:30 a.m.
It is unknown what items were taken.
The man escaped by climbing a gate fronting the business, getting into his pickup truck and driving away south on Route 507.
Anyone with information pertaining to this incident should contact the state police Blooming Grove barracks at (570) 226-5718. State Trooper Carl D. Ives is the investigating officer.
