State police are investigating a burglary at a Salem Township residence last Tuesday, November 17.
Police reported that the burglar entered a Maplewood Road residence through a side-entry door, then forcibly opened an interior-locked door.
A television, DVD player, and three bins of baseball cards were stolen; the thief then fled the scene undetected.
The incident occurred at about 7:00 p.m.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact the state police Honesdale barracks at (570) 253-7126. State Trooper Adam Kowalczyk is the investigating officer.

Other incidents

• State Police arrested a 19-year male after he allegedly stole three men’s wristwatches from K-Mart in Texas Township last Friday, November 20. His name will not be released because charges have not been filed in district court. The arrest occurred at 9 p.m.

• A 42-year old woman may face DUI charges after she wrecked her car in Lake Township last Tuesday, November 17. The woman, who has not been charged, was traveling on Avoy Road at 4:20 p.m. when her car smacked a utility pole, state police Honesdale barracks reported.
She was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for alcohol and drug blood analysis following the crash.

• For the month of October, Pa. State Police Honesdale barracks responded to 120 criminal offenses in Wayne County. This resulted in 64 criminal arrests.
Overall the barracks responded to 462 incidents in the October, which included 52 vehicular crashes. One crash was fatal - six resulted in DUI arrests - and 275 traffic citations were issued.
