On Sunday, November 15, the Texas #4 Fire Company used their 85 foot tower ladder to assist the Honesdale Borough in replacing the light bulbs in the traditional Christmas Star, on Irving Cliff.  It took approximately two hours for the fireman to change all of the LED bulbs that were broken or damaged. The Star, which first shone for Christmas in 1955, will be ready for Thanksgiving this week. Texas #4 Fire Company is in the midst of their annual appeal for monetary support from the Honesdale Borough residents and surrounding communities.  To date, Texas #4 Fire Company has received less than six percent of the total mailings sent out in early October.  Texas #4 Fire Company would like to thank those who have made a donation to the company and encourage anyone who hasn’t or maybe lost their letter, to send a monetary donation to Texas #4 Fire Company, PO Box 1065, Honesdale, PA 18431.  All money received will be used to ensure the communities safety in an emergency.
