 Lt. Witt and Ptlm. Rosler, Honesdale Police, responded to a vehicle versus bicyclist crash at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Cottage Street just after 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 23rd.
A 2009 Ford Escape being driven by Jamie Fogg of Honesdale was traveling north on Riverside Drive. A fourteen year old male and his brother were riding their bikes from Cottage Street and onto Riverside Drive. The youth failed to stop for the stop sign and rode into the path of the Ford.
The juvenile first struck the passenger front fender area, then impacted with the windshield and rolled off to the passenger side of the vehicle. He was wearing a bicycle helmet.
The juvenile was taken to a staging area where he awaited a life-flight to Geisinger Hospital, Wilkes Barre for treatment. Fire police shut down Riverside Drive during the investigation.
