A letter of support was issued by the Wayne County Commissioners, Tuesday, for the Downtown Hawley Partnership. This group is planning their inaugural meeting tonight, Wednesday April 29, at the Hawley United Methodist Church.
The letter of support backs the vision statement of the Partnership. Organizers are promoting downtown Hawley as a desired destination for business, dining and entertainment, recreation and historic resources.
Downtown Hawley Partnership developed from what had been a subgroup of the Hawley Lake Wallenpaupack Chamber of Commerce. “The vision will be realized through an active, innovative, and unified partnership between various committed local leaders from private, public, and non-profit organizations,” the Vision Statement declares. For more information on the Downtown Hawley Partnership, call (570)226-4064 or visit online at www.visithawleypa.com.
