Since there is so much we don’t know about Sarah Palin, one would think she’d go out of her way to introduce herself to the American people.
To the Editor:
The choice of vice presidential running mates often provides insight on how our presidential nominees will govern our country. John McCain, a 72-year old cancer survivor, has decided on Sarah Palin.
He has decided that he would make a mayor a of a town smaller than most colleges, the Governor of a state with about the same number of people as the lower fifth of the island of Manhattan, a person with zero foreign policy experience, literally one breath away from President of the United States.
Since there is so much we don’t know about Sarah Palin, one would think she’d go out of her way to introduce herself to the American people. That has not been the case. Since she was chosen by McCain, she has done only three interviews, and one town hall meeting. Her candidacy is a farce, and finally, true conservatives are stepping forward to voice their opinions on just how unqualified she is, and how dangerous this is to our national security.
Barack Obama, on the other hand, chose Scranton native Senator Joe Biden, a foreign policy expert with a three decade long career of looking out for the middle class and supporting women’s rights, to be his running mate. Obama chose Biden because he would be the most effective partner in governing, and Biden is unquestionably ready to step in as president, while McCain chose Palin purely for political reasons in an effort to gain Hillary Clinton supporters (despite the fact that Palin is essentially against everything Hillary has fought for in her career).
John McCain is insulting the intelligence of the American people if he thinks that we will elect this ticket. John McCain is not putting country first, he is putting John McCain first, and his actions are dangerous, unstable, and insane.
