Wayne County Human Services personnel can expect a three percent salary increase effective July 1.

Wayne County Human Services personnel can expect a three percent salary increase effective July 1. The Human Services Agency consists of the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging, Drug & Alcohol Commission, Wayne County MH/MR, Wayne County Pantry Program and the Wayne County Children & Youth.
The Commissioners acted on the increase Thursday, June 26, rather than last December, because the Human Services Agency works on the federal fiscal year, July 1- June 30. Other county departments received their three percent increase at the start of the calendar year.
They also approved a mileage reimbursement , increasing from 46 to 50 cents a mile. This is due to the increasing gasoline prices, and is applied to use of personal vehicles for county business.
Personnel actions
Sarah Hopkins was promoted to MH/MR Caseworker-II.
Cheryl Kreiter was promoted to Cook-I.
Frank Darling and Tom Murray were moved from part time to full time van drivers.
Sandy Tenbus was approved for lateral transfer to Transportation Administrator.
The Wayne County Commissioners meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. at the Courthouse Annex, third floor. Public participation is welcome.
