On Monday April 21, Honesdale Police investigated a burglary at Beans Roasting House & Café located at 1139 Main Street.
 It was discovered that someone had broken into the establishment on Sunday April 20 at around 8:40 p.m. The actors damaged a cash register and safe and stole several hundred dollars in cash. Anyone with information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at that time is urged to contact the police department at (570)253-1900.
Public drunkenness
On Tuesday, April 22 the Honesdale Borough Police arrested 38 year old Christopher Zerebak of Honesdale for public drunkenness and possession of an open container of alcohol in public. 
This arrest was initiated by a complaint received by police of Zerebak drinking alcohol on the steps of an apartment building on Main Street.  When located, Zerebak was found to be highly intoxicated and in possession of a nearly empty bottle of vodka. 
 Due to his intoxicated state Zerebak was transported to the hospital  for an evaluation.  Non-traffic citations for the above offenses were filed with the District Magistrate.
Display sheds vandalized
Pa. State Police investigated vandalism reported at the Home Depot outer parking lot in Texas Township. The criminal mischief occurred sometime on April 18 or 19.
Trooper Brian Rickard said that an unknown person, or more than one, vandalized four display sheds by smashing windows, spraying a fire extinguisher and spray-painting graffiti on them.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the State Police at Honesdale at 253-7126.
Cigarette infraction
On April 21, the Pa. State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement reported an alleged violation at Sonny’s Bar & Grill, Inc., 505 Main St., Honesdale. The business was cited for selling cigarettes without the required permit.
Water balloon trouble
Pa. State Police at Blooming Grove said that a Flushing, NY man, age 22, is facing a summary charge of disorderly conduct, regarding a water balloon. The man is accused of throwing the balloon at a vehicle owned by a woman from Canadensis. This caused water to spray on the vehicle. The crime occurred along SR 447 at The Panther Lodge in Greene Township.
