On March 25th at 9:20 a.m., Kathleen  Guinther age 23 from the Beach Lake area was arrested by the Honesdale Borough Police on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.


On March 25th at 9:20 a.m., Kathleen  Guinther age 23 from the Beach Lake area was arrested by the Honesdale Borough Police on charges of Possession of Con, Guinthertrolled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The charges came following the arrest of Guinther by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department on two outstanding bench warrants for failure to appear.
Guinther was observed by deputies in a vehicle near the courthouse. Once taken into custody she was found to be in possession of 43 packets of heroin, and several xanax, and methadone pills. The Honesdale Borough Police were then called to assist the deputies.
Guinther was arraigned before District Judge Snyder at the Wayne County Courthouse. She failed to post $30,000 bail and was incarcerated in the Wayne County Prison. A central court appearance is set for April 2nd.
Theft from motor vehicles
The Honesdale Borough Police are investigating a white female who was observed attempting to enter a vehicle in the Wayne Memorial Hospital parking lot, on March 24.
According to Police, the female was observed trying to enter vehicles in West Park Street parking lots. The female was confronted by security and then ran. The security guard observed the female run across the foot bridge and toward West 11th Street, in the area of Turkey Hill.
The female was described as 5-4, medium build, reddish shoulder length hair, faded blue jeans, and the female was wearing a black hooded jacket with light-colored fur around hood.
