Michael A. 'Mickey' Pesarcik, Lake Ariel, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital after an illness.


Michael A. 'Mickey' Pesarcik, Lake Ariel, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital after an illness. His wife of 70 years is the former Cecilia Andracki.


 Born in Throop, son of the late Anthony and Catherine Weiss Pesarcik, he was a retired supervisor for PennDOT. He was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School and was a member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary’s Parish Community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 5823, Hawley.


 Also surviving are brothers Andrew, Lake Ariel, and George, Throop; sisters Tina, Florida, and Fini, N. Carolina; several nieces and nephews.


 He was preceded in death by brothers Anthony and Joseph; sisters Ann, Helen, Mary, Mildred, Kity, and Betty.


 The Mass of Christian will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, St. Mary’s Rd. Ledgedale.


 Friends may call Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the Church.
Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
